Samurai

Want to thank all you guys that are consistently checking out the blog! It really is helping me be motivated enough to keep doing something to post. At the same time, I've been searching the blog world and finding really amazing and talented artists out there. I'll be consistently putting up links so you guys could check them out too.

Finally had a few hours at the end of the day to sit on a kitchen table and draw something. To be honest, nothing was coming out that looked remotely interesting and in the end I gave up. Out of desperation, I started tightening up the drawing so that something could be posted. Even threw in some grey tones so it might help. It's clunky, but at least I had a chance to do something creative.

Joseph! It seems I started back at American Dad just as you went on hiatus!

It's good to see that you're posting a lot more work now, and the stuff is all looking sweet... I particularly like the red ball-point Conan. You can't draw a wild barbarian on clean bristol paper, but corrugated cardboard?? Now that's barbarian appropriate.

Albert: Taking a vacation to just rejuv the senses you know? That's great that you're back and running at AD. Will come by and say hi when I get the chance!

Joseph, digging on the last few pieces that you have posted up. The one the torn cardboard is great!
Well, you really didn't miss much at Wizard World....Saturday was cool though. I'm working at getting some table space at the Image booth....hope to see there at Comic Con!
Now I remember where we met....it was over at Art Center back in '98....I have your name and number in one of my old sketchbooks.

Really nice illustrations Joseph. Your characters exude such strong personalities. The facial expressions are great.

Your earlier post comments really hit home. Juggling family life and art is certainly a challenge. And when there is a little block of free time, it can be overwhelming trying to choose between the long list of things one would like to partake in.
